While unassuming to the untrained eye, there is something special about a new stack of Simtek Modular tactical panels specially built for non-lethal training. Even that sentence sounded as awesome as our panels. With our movable panels and custom designed Connector Brackets, Simtek Modular layouts are simple to set up, reconfigure, and take down. The comparatively light weight and sturdy panels are perfect for setup in multi-use facilities or if you want the convenience of quickly changing the layout of your shoot house.
Often, shoot houses are too heavy to move or too flimsy to last long. They sometimes have to been anchored to the ground or give a “bouncy house” effect rather than a professional tactical simulation. Our product gives both mobility and strength so that your teams can train in an optimal and realistic environment. Keep reading if you want to hear why Simtek Modular can give you exactly what you need.
MODULAR: That’s the key word. Our panels can can be taken down and stacked if you need to the space. Simply push them to one side or remove them completely with a pallet jack or fork lift. While the walls are sturdy and can withstand force, they are not anchored into the floor; this makes it easy to take down or modify the layout. Total time of install or take down usually takes 2 days with 3-4 personnel.
WEIGHT: Our panels are made with lumber and weigh around 95 lbs each. Two people can easily move them around and set them in place according to their desired layout. We’ve been stacking and shipping them 26 panels per pallet, the perfect weight and height for a small trailer to carry a single pallet. Or a full flat bed semi truck to carry 8-10 pallets!
VARIETY: Our Hot House, commonly known as Modular House or Shoot house, panels are made of regular CDX (most common), ABX, Pressure Treated and Fire Rated materials. The different materials allow us to tailor to the needs of each customer.
STRENGTH: With reinforced panel cores and cross members so they don’t flex, these panels are stiff and strong. Our custom-made steel brackets ensure that your house walls don’t move unless you want them to. Our panels are built to withstand up to 15 years of use in repeated force-on-force training scenarios.
PAINT: Additionally, each type of wood can be painted; this adds to both the aesthetic and longevity of the panels. Re-painting is easy if your panels need a touch up. A small commercial airless sprayer does the job and looks great. Painted panels get one layer of primer and one layer of EXTERIOR latex paint because it harder than interior paint and can wipe down easily if you ever decide to use paint balls.
QUALITY: We take extra care to make sure each panel is square and free of flaws. They stack neatly and can easily be shipped if you change location.
